3 Ways To Rest After Christmas

You did it! đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź

You made it past Christmas.

And I'm sure you're exhausted. Think back to just a few days ago and all of that pressure you felt in your preparation - that's gone now. And the question is: what do you do now?

The most important thing you can right now is rest. Sure, Sunday is coming in just a few days, BUT you need a moment to recuperate.

Here are 3 ways to rest after Christmas:

1 | Mentally

Let your mind stop running 1000 miles a minute for a day or two. Christmas preparations are over - you've still got stuff you need to do BUT take a moment to breathe.

It's okay to not think about those things you still need to get done at church for a moment. If something pops into your head while you're resting, write it down and attend to it later.

2 | Spiritually

Not only is your mind exhausted after this Christmas, so is your spirit.

You knew how important the message you got to carry with you this Christmas season was and, because of that, you put your whole body into telling it the best you could - mind, body, and SPIRIT.

Maybe you neglected to feed YOURSELF spiritually during that busy season. Take some time the rest of this week to rest in the Word of God. Be refreshed. Maybe worship God with a few songs that you don't have to lead on Sunday - they can be just for you.

3 | Physically

You were literally RUNNING around like crazy this past month trying to get everything done. Maybe you neglected sleep. Maybe you neglected just sitting down for a moment.

Whatever it was, you're tired. And that's okay. Now it's time to physically rest up. Take a nap. Sit and binge the Mandalorian on Disney+ because you didn't have time this past month. Whatever recharges you physically, do it!
