I challenge you to ask your team: how can I serve you better?
As you lead your team, your goal should be to be a SERVANT LEADER. In everything you do, you should ask yourself the question: How can I make this easier for my team? Maybe that means getting them their music earlier. Or maybe it means being more respectful of their time at rehearsal. There are lots of ways to make things easier for your team.
The problem is we've all got blind spots. There are things that our leadership lacks that we can't see. At the same time, those things may be abundantly clear to the people on our team. So when you ask your team the question "how can I serve you better?" You're giving them permission to speak into the way you lead the team. Ultimately, asking this question will help you become a better leader.
Find a moment tomorrow to ask your team the question: how can I serve you better?
