It's hard to lead your church in worship online these days. The biggest obstacle is connection.
Think about it: remember those Sundays in the good ol' days when people would show up to church a little bit early and you'd get to stand out in the lobby and talk to them? How's that for connecting with the people you're leading?!
Or, let's be real, most people didn't show up early to church. But, think about all those connections you got to make with people after your service and throughout the rest of the week.
In the prophetic words of Andy Bernard: "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them."
But, here we are. And CONNECTION with the people you're leading in worship is still important.
So, before you lead worship tomorrow (even if you've already pre-recorded your service), make a personal connection with 5 people you're going to be leading.
Send out a text. Make a phone call. Whatever. Don't overthink it. Just ask them how they're doing and how you can pray for them.
